Cabalgatas Fernando Escudero - Salta

Finca las Costas is a nature reserve designated to preserve the purity of the water consumed in Salta city, and it is there where we go horseback riding.
The trail leads to Potrero Grande, land destined to horse breeding, specially quiet and far away from civilazation.

The participants will enjoy all the fun involved in horseback riding, a barbacue with all its ingredients and besides awesome sights, crystal clear water streams, an interesting interpretation of Selvas Montaña landscape.

At 9:30 we leave Salta City towards the point where the journey begins (15 km.). Meet the horses. Last minute packing before starting our trip. Across small hidden valleys on the road, crossing streams and forests, we will appreciate Salta’s most incredible landscapes. We will enjoy of a traditional barbacue surrounded by this amazing view. In the way back we will go through forests with different tipes of trees (carobs, caldenes, molles) and there is always the possibility to see different typical animals of the zone. During the season, is amazing the variety and quantity of butterflies flying everywhere. Return to Salta City where we will be arriving at aproximately 18:30.

Days: one. From 9:30 to 18:30 approximately.
Horses: mountain mestizo.
Hours: 5 – 6 hours a day.
Level: no experience required.
Weather: summer 10 – 30ºC; winter 5 – 25ºC.
Included: transfer from / to Salta City. Traditional barbacue at lunch.
Departures 2008: all year round previous reservation.
