This tour takes you to several estancias in Corrientes and reminds us of the long routes the old farm workers followed on horseback when they took their cattle to the annual actions which were held in distant places.

On the way to these places, we encounter a great diversity of land: lakes, forests, marshlands, rivers and hills rich in indigenous tree species.

A rich fauna in ostriches, foxes, hares and alligators together with a wide variety of bird species and a unique flora characterize the regions of Corrientes, a beautiful worth visiting places that should not be missed.

At night, enjoy the comfort and the exquisite regional and international dishes that these estancias offer to their visitors. The stars and the moonlight will join in to provide a romantic end to this unforgettable trip.

Our meeting place is at Estancia La Rosita, situated on the outskirts of a small village called Esquina. Enjoy a free day and relax in the swimming pool. You can go on a short horse ride to meet the horses. Overnight at the estancia.

After breakfast, we will leave Estancia La Rosita and head towards Estancia La Amistad. Enjoy an exquisite lamb barbecue with regional vegetables served by a lake. After resting on typical Paraguayan rocking chairs, we ride back to the estancia, where a well – deserved session of kinesiology is offered to those who ask for it. Overnight at the estancia.

Breakfast. Ride to Estancia Buena Vista. Lunch in a forest with regional
cold – cuts. Arrival at the estancia, relax and spend the afternoon in the swimming pool.

Breakfast. We start the day riding to Estancia La Teresita. We have lunch at a “pulpería correntina” (traditional eating place in Corrientes). To spend the time in the evening, you can go on an optional romantic horse-ride or car-ride under the moonlight.

Breakfast. We head towards the Corrientes River and ride across hills with indigenous trees, small lakes and Pampean lands before we get to our stopping point. After having lunch by the riverside, we watch a “Carrera de sortijas” (a traditional race). Transfer to Pueblo de la Esquina on trucks. A folk group will entertain visitors during dinner time at a pintoresque restaurant. Prize Giving Ceremony to end the day.

Level: no riding experience required. Suitable for novice to experienced riders.
Weather: winter: 16 - 24°C summer: 10-30ºC.
